How is spiruvit produced?
Spirulina is usually grown in open ponds. Growth conditions in these pools are controlled; the minerals needed for spirulina are added, and light is needed through direct sunlight. Spirulina growth in these ponds is carried out without the use of any pesticide or toxic chemicals. But one of the problems with this approach is limiting its growth season. In addition, the issue of climate security is very important in this way, because this algae can easily accumulate pollution and heavy metals in the water and transfer it to the human body. But for the production of spiruvit, a new technology of photobioactor has been used. By this method, the growth of algae is carried out in closed environments and controlled conditions. Spirulina grows in crystalline spiral tubes, and the required light is supplied artificially. It can be assured that by this method, air and water pollution in the medium are eliminated and the quality of the product goes up.
Is Spirulina algae different with chlorella?
Chlorella is a green algae that is sometimes confused with spirulina. But chlorella is not a green-blue algae, but a green algae and more chlorophyll pigments. Historically, spirulina is older, has a larger size and has higher protein content. Chlorella algae for human use requires more complicated process than spirulina, because its cell wall is hard and not digestible in the human digestive system. The way these two algae are used is different, and their use varies in two different ways.
